This Refund Policy applies to services provided by Dress Hire Websites.

By purchasing a service, you agree to this policy.

Website Build Refunds

The $550 AUD Website Build fee is paid upfront before work begins.

Change of Mind

We do not provide refunds simply because you:

  • Change your mind
  • Pause or close your business
  • Decide you no longer need the website
  • Choose another service provider
  • Fail to provide the required information or access

Australian businesses are generally not required to provide a refund for a simple change of mind. However, this policy does not remove any rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Before Work Begins

Please contact us immediately if you need to cancel before work has started.

Any refund will be assessed based on:

  • Whether work or planning has already commenced
  • Payment-processing costs
  • Time already allocated to the project
  • Reasonable costs or losses caused by the cancellation

After Work Begins

  • Once work has started:
  • Completed work remains payable
  • Work completed up to the cancellation date may be provided to you
  • Any refund will be based on the unfinished portion of the agreed service
  • Reasonable costs and work already completed may be deducted

A full refund is not automatically available after the project has started.

Delayed or Inactive Projects

You are responsible for providing the information, content, feedback and account access required to complete your website.

The project may be paused or closed if you:

  • Do not complete onboarding
  • Do not provide the required access
  • Do not supply your products or website content
  • Stop responding for an extended period
  • Prevent us from continuing the agreed work

We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before closing the project.

Payments will not automatically be refunded where the delay or inability to complete the website was caused by missing information, access or cooperation from the client.

Design Revisions and Preferences

Unlimited revisions are included within the original agreed website scope.

A refund will not normally be provided because of personal design preferences where we are willing and able to make reasonable revisions.

Refunds do not apply to:

  • A complete change in brand direction
  • Requests for a completely new design after approval
  • Features outside the original package
  • Repeated changes caused by indecision
  • Work requested after final approval or handover
  • Additional work outside the original scope may require a separate quote.
  • Third-Party Costs

We cannot provide refunds for charges paid directly to third-party providers, including:

  • Shopify subscriptions
  • Domain purchases or renewals
  • Paid Shopify apps
  • Booking or rental app subscriptions
  • Email services
  • Payment-processing fees
  • Afterpay, PayPal or other provider fees

Refund requests for these services must be made directly to the relevant provider and will be subject to that provider’s refund policy.

  1. When a Refund or Remedy May Apply

Please contact us promptly if you believe the service:

  • Was not provided with reasonable care and skill
  • Was materially different from the agreed service
  • Was not fit for an agreed purpose
  • Cannot be completed because of an issue caused by us

We will first attempt to correct the issue within a reasonable timeframe.

Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate remedy may include:

  • Correcting the problem
  • Completing the missing work
  • Providing a partial refund
  • Cancelling the service
  • Providing a full refund where legally required

Services sold in Australia come with consumer guarantees that cannot be removed by a refund policy. The available remedy depends on the nature and seriousness of the problem.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Please contact us before starting a chargeback or payment dispute so we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.

Where a chargeback is submitted, we will provide the payment provider with relevant records, including:

  • Invoices and payment records
  • Accepted terms and policies
  • Onboarding information
  • Project communications
  • Evidence of work completed
  • Website drafts and revisions

Submitting a chargeback does not automatically cancel the agreement or determine whether a refund is payable.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or changes any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Blanket statements that refunds are never available cannot override these legal rights.
